BIO

Mike (or to most, just “Nuget”) has decided to branch out on his own, taking along with him all the knowledge and experiences he's had for over 20 years, offering expertise in color grading, editorial finishing, and visual effects, and is ready to help bring your project to the finish line.

Nuget was a member of the Technicolor-PostWorks team from 2005 - 2018. While there, he applied his skills to television projects and documentaries, including the FX series “The Americans”, Netflix's docu-series “Rotten”, ABC drama “Quantico”, TV Land’s “Younger”, PBS documentary series “Soundbreaking – Stories from the Cutting Edge of Recorded Music”, 2018 Academy Award Nominated short, “Edith & Eddie” and countless other projects.

Since breaking out on his own in 2018, he has had much success picking up new clients as well as continuing past relationships with some of his long time clients. Most notably, stepping up to finish and color the scripted feature “Anya”, Peacock Docu-series “Shadowland” & “Geography Of Bliss” with Radical Media, HBO’s “Hostages” with long time client Show Of Force, Netflix’s “Rotten” & “Broken”, Hulu’s “Where is Private Dulaney” and the critically acclaimed HBO series “Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children”.

Nuget began his career at Rhinoceros Editorial in 2003. Among his first credits was as assistant online editor on Michael Moore’s ground-breaking documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. Since then, Mike has worked in virtually every picture genre – from commercials and promos, to reality and network television, to narrative and documentary films – and has honed a diverse skill set across multiple platforms, including DaVinci’s Resolve, Filmlight’s Baselight, AVID & some Autodesk Flame work. Mike’s versatility has secured him strong relationships with vendors around the globe, particularly AVID, Filmlight & CineXtools, for whom he has spearheaded several presentations, at both NAB & IBC, demonstrating workflows he helped create alongside these industry leaders.

On the personal side of things, Mike loves to travel, literally flying around the world twice on trips to his heritage country of Thailand, and most recently traveling (or should say "eating") his way through Italy! Mike is also an avid snowboarder whose love for winter sports has taken him across the U.S., Europe, Canada, and beyond, snowboarding at over 52 different resorts.

Home Studio Equipment

While some people think that moving between facility’s can be difficult, I very much welcome the opportunity to work at your facility and meet new people. Since becoming freelance in 2018, I have already worked in over a dozen different facility’s and have met some great people. But the best part is, I also have the ability to work remotely from my professionally equipped home studio.
